Working Student Business Controlling (f/m/d)

For our SSL INEUR Head Office in Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Working Student Business Controlling (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date.

The Working Student Business Controlling supports the Business Control team in financial reporting and analysis, and the budget process. This role contributes to decision-making through accurate reporting and data analysis in international dynamic shipping environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support in the preparation of monthly financial reports and investigation of discrepancies
Assist in analyzing variances between actual results, previous forecasts and budget
Support budget preparation
Assist the business controller in profitability, revenue, and cost analyses

Work closely with Trade, Operations, Cargo Flow and other business departments

Perform research and data analysis to support management decisions

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Shipping, Logistics or a related field
Strong interest in financial controlling and business analysis
Fluency in English, French will be a plus
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Knowledge of Excel Macros, Power Query, QlikSense, or other data analysis tools is beneficial

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proactive and able to work independently

Preferred Experience

Previous internship or student experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or data analysis is a plus
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, OneStream) is advantageous
