Student Assistant, Transatlantic Program (10h/week)

We are looking for a student assistant to join our Transatlantic Program for 10 hours per week from July 20, 2026, until September 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will support the project “U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture,” an exchange project for farmers and other key stakeholders in the agricultural sector, as well as our other transatlantic initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

Research potential participants, speakers, experts, and contacts, and support outreach efforts
Conduct research on content and support the planning of the U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture program
Support the logistical and organizational preparation, implementation, and follow-up of all virtual, hybrid, and in-person events within the project
Compile materials, such as program booklets, participant and speaker biographies, and reading materials
Provide technical support for virtual and hybrid events
Support PR activities, such as drafting social media and website content
Other tasks as needed

Requirements

Enrollment in a relevant degree program, such as political science, international relations, North American studies, agriculture, environmental sciences, or a related field
Interest in transatlantic relations
Experience in event organization
Experience with social media communication
Commitment, diligence, and reliability
Flexible, self-motivated, and team-oriented working style
Professional proficiency in German and English
